01
Conservation projects
At Urban Conserve, we recognise revegetation as a cornerstone of our broader ecological restoration mission. Whether integrated into large-scale projects or undertaken as standalone endeavors, we bring a wealth of expertise, unwavering dedication, and essential resources to ensure project success.
Our seasoned planting teams, armed with the latest tools and extensive knowledge of Perth's endemic flora, are poised to tackle any revegetation challenge. We offer customised services tailored to meet the specific requirements of each project, be it detailed specifications or competitive hourly or per plant rates.
Beyond planting, we provide invaluable guidance on species selection and boast a robust network of industry contacts to source over 600 different species of native plants from accredited nurseries. At Urban Conserve, we're committed to nurturing vibrant ecosystems and enriching biodiversity through our revegetation initiatives.
What sets us apart is our innovative Treering technology, proven to boost survival rates in conservation projects by up to 75%. With our pioneering approach, we've eliminated the need for costly replanting due to water stress, as evidenced by successful trials with esteemed partners such as the City of Bayswater and IGO Forrestania Nickel Operations. By harnessing climate factors, Treering not only enhances survival rates but also minimizes expenses associated with restocking, ensuring project objectives are met efficiently and sustainably.

Weed Mapping & Control
Western Australia's natural areas and waterways are under threat from introduced plant species, posing a significant risk to local ecosystems. These invasive plants, if left unchecked, can disrupt bushland ecosystems by out-competing native species. This disruption affects the natural habitat and food sources available to native fauna, while also increasing the risk of more frequent and severe bushfires, further degrading our landscapes. Additionally, post-fire, weed species can proliferate rapidly, depleting the seed bank of native plants.
In aquatic environments, invasive aquatic weeds present a serious challenge to ecosystems. They can deplete dissolved oxygen levels, leading to fish kills, and form dense mats that clog waterways, obstruct sunlight penetration, and smother native vegetation. These weeds not only diminish the aesthetic appeal of water bodies but also disrupt ecosystem balance and reduce public enjoyment.
At Urban Conserve, we specialise in managing aquatic weed species, drawing from years of experience in aquatic zones. Our holistic approach ensures effective management strategies that safeguard ecosystem health and biodiversity.
In terrestrial zones, our mission is clear: to map, plan, and coordinate efforts to combat invasive weed species and support thriving terrestrial & aquatic ecosystems. With years of experience and a dedicated team, we tailor our strategies to the unique needs of each environment, ensuring the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems for future generations.

03
Dieback Services & Training
At Urban Conserve, our Dieback Hygiene Training program is endorsed by Western Australian government authorities, ensuring compliance with essential standards for managing the spread of Dieback disease within vulnerable zones. Our comprehensive program caters to a wide spectrum of organisations, including mining companies, environmental consultancies, utilities, forestry construction firms, transport companies, local and state government agencies, landcare and community conservation groups, as well as educational and research institutions such as universities and TAFEs.
Led by industry experts holding Training and Assessment qualification Cert IV, our training sessions offer participants practical insights and strategies to safeguard ecosystems and combat the spread of this destructive pathogen. Join us in our shared commitment to preserving Western Australia's natural environment.
Course outline
At Urban Conserve, our Green Card Training provides trainees with the knowledge and skills required to effectively mitigate the risk of spreading Dieback disease, along with other plant pathogens and weeds.
Our comprehensive training covers essential topics including the nature of the disease, its spread and management, relevant guiding documents, and practical skills for cleaning and inspecting vehicles for soil, animal, and plant material, as well as adhering to Dieback hygiene signage.
The training consists of a theory session followed by hands-on practical training where participants learn to inspect and clean equipment, vehicles, and machinery. Successful completion of the training requires passing an assessment, following which participants receive a Green Card certification valid for three years.
